Freshman standout defeats seasoned veteran

In a highly anticipated matchup during this morning's semi-finals Nick Hodgkins of Wyomissing defeated Pen Argyl's Austin Williams. Hodgkins used a five point move in the second period and a takedown in the third period to defeat Williams 8-1. Hodgkins will wrestle Wilson's Destry Hartrum in tonight's final.

Mazza upsets Bise

In quite a turn of events Justin Mazza of Pius X secured a come from behind fall against District 3 champion Charlie Bise of East Pennsboro at103 pounds. Bise, up 8-1, seemed to be cruising to a spot in the Regional finals when when Mazza executed a beautiful peterson. Mazza was able to secure the fall pulling an upset of monumental proportions. Mazza becomes the first state qualifier of the day.
